Sugimoto & Company was founded in 1979 and has been serving Calgary and neighbouring areas since our inception.  We pride ourselves for being a part of the city landscape and have been located in our convenient North East Calgary offices since 1985.

Our growing practice consists of 10 lawyers, 6 Paralegals and 5 support staff working in a wide variety of practice areas including:  administrative law, corporate and commercial law, civil litigation, family lawreal estate and wills and estates. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sugimoto & Company is pleased to announce and welcome the President of the Law Society of Alberta, Anthony G. Young, Q.C., to our legal team as Senior Counsel Family Law.

In addition to his role as President, he is a Co-Convenor for Reforming the Family Justice System. Mr. Young was born and raised in Calgary and attended the University of Calgary where he received his Juris Doctor. Subsequently, he attended Osgoode Hall Law School at York University where he obtained his Master of Laws. Mr. Young was elected a Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta in 2009.

Mr. Young was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2010. He is a past Chair of the Alberta Law Foundation. In his role as President of the Law Society of Alberta, Mr. Young sits as a member of the Provincial Judicial Council and Chair of a number of Law Society Committees. He serves on the editorial committee of Law Matters and has served in many other capacities including: South Section Coordinator of the Canadian Bar Association (Southern), Chair of each of the Civil Litigation Section, the Technology Section and the Young Lawyers Section. He has contributed to the legal profession through organizations such as the University of Calgary, the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education, the Legal Education Society of Alberta.
